I had often looked out my window early in the morning while getting ready for work, and noticed people out for a leisurely walk as if they had nowhere to be. I wanted to be them! Also, while driving around during lunch I would see stay-at-home-moms out with their strollers, enjoying the spring-like weather. And now I AM one of them! Well, minus the stroller part.
Everyday this week, I have gone for a morning walk. And I can’t help but grin as cars drive by, because I’m thinking to myself how wonderful it is to be outside and being one of those people who has nowhere to be. For multiple days, I have passed the same two moms with their strollers. And it’s like I’m in a whole new world now (great, now I’m singing A Whole New World from Aladdin). A new world consisting of new people on the trail. Usually the trail is full of families who are there after school and work. But I’m now getting to enjoy the peacefulness of my 70-acre backyard. The freshly cut grass, watching the geese land on the pond as the small breeze ripples waves through the water, and listening to the rustling of the trees. So tomorrow I might have to read a book under the shade tree. Just because I can!
